Apple held its Spring Loaded event on April 20 and one of the biggest announcements was the iPad Pro 2021.
The tablet is packed with many upgrades for 2021, including new display technology, a powerful processor and 5G support.

iPad Pro 2021 vs iPad Air 4 Availability
The two come with 128GB storage capacity, but the configurations with 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB are also available if you are happy to pay a little more.
To compare the two tablets with 256GB of storage, the iPad Air for Wi-Fi or cellular for Wi-Fi and cellular. The same 256GB costs for the 11-inch iPad pro with Wi-Fi or with Wi-Fi and cellular. The 12.9-inch iPad pro costs for 256GB with Wi-Fi or with Wi-Fi and cellular.
This means you can save anywhere by opting for Air on the iPad Pro 2021 with the same storage and Wi-Fi/cellular support.
The iPad pro 2021 will be available from the second half of May, with orders opening on April 30. The iPad Air 4 is now available.
iPad Pro 2021 vs iPad Air 4 design and Display-what do they look like?
The iPad Pro is available in 12.9-inch and 11-inch sizes, with the 12.9-inch version being the most important upgrade to your display.
The larger Pro will not only benefit from Apple’s new Liquid Retina XDR display, but will also replace its LCD display with a mini LED display with more than 10,000 LEDs. Apple says the screen can reach up to 1,000 nits of full-screen brightness, with 1,600 nits of maximum brightness and a contrast ratio of 1 million to 1.
The 11-inch model retains its Liquid Retina display, which can reach a maximum brightness of 600 nits. Both iPad Pros feature Apple’s 120Hz promotion technology, P3 color, and True Tone support.
Like the 11-inch Pro, the iPad Air 4 has a Liquid Retina display. The 10.9-inch tablet also supports P3 and True Tone colors and can achieve a brightness of slightly less than 500 nits.
In addition to the display, both iPads have thin glasses and are equipped with an Apple Pencil and a Magic keyboard. The iPad Air is available in five attractive versions (silver, room grey, rose gold, green and sky blue), while the iPad Pro is limited to silver and room grey.

The iPad Pro is a milestone for Apple’s first tablet series, powered by the company’s own M1 chip.
Apple says the Apple Silicon processor will offer 50% faster CPU performance compared to the Bionic A12Z, as well as 40% faster GPU speeds, making it the “fastest device of its kind”.
The iPad Air 4 is now powered by the A14 Chip found in the recent iPhone 12. We were impressed by the performance of the air when we tested it.

However, we found that the A12Z offered better graphics performance in the previous Pro, so we expected the M1-powered Pro to go even further in 2021.
The iPad Pro has up to 16GB of memory and 2TB of storage, while the air is limited to 4GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The iPad pro Cellular also supports 5G, while the iPad Air gets stuck with the slower 4G.
In terms of connectivity, the iPad pro 2021 has a Thunderbolt 4-compatible USB-C port. The air, uses USB-C.

The iPad Pro features a pair of 10-megapixel ultra-wide-angle and 12-megapixel wide-angle cameras on the back, as well as the LiDAR scanner.
The Pro brings a new truedepth camera system to the front with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with a central scene. The video conferencing feature uses the camera’s large field of view to pan and zoom out so you can stay in the picture during the call. The Pro can handle up to 4K video at 60fps, and slo-mo in 1080P at up to 240fps.
The iPad Air also features a camera-wide-angle lens with 12-megapixel camera on the back with an aperture of f/1.8. On the front is a 7-Megapixel FaceTime HD camera with an aperture of f/2.2. Like the iPad Pro, the air is able to capture up to 4K Video at 60fps, as well as slo-mo in 1080p at up to 240fps.

The iPad pro 2021 marked several major upgrades for Apple’s high-end tablet range, including the introduction of its M1 chip, the new display technology (for the 12, 9-inch model) and the introduction of 5G in the Pro line. The Pro also benefits from video calls on the central stage.
If you want the best of the best when it comes to specifications and features, opt for the Pro. If you’re happy with the Air A14 chip (always incredibly fast), Liquid Retina display and colorful design, Air is a great way to save money on your next tablet.
